Birdwood’s Australian Assets
Baranduda Electrical Energy Reserve is an independent standalone battery connected to a key strategic transmission location designed to support NSW and Victoria energy markets.
This asset is designed to provide the wider Australian energy market with arbitrage and long term grid support services.
The advanced design of this battery is to be flexible over its 30+ year life to provide services to multiple customers as market needs and requirements change in the Australian energy market.

One of the first DC coupled battery retrofits to an existing operating solar farm in Australia.
Birdwood’s team retrofitted an innovative DC coupled battery on an existing operation solar farm to enhance returns for its investors.
The integrated battery-PV asset provides the full range of arbitrage, import/export firming and FCAS services.
Birdwood has acquired a portfolio of operating solar farms in SA. Birdwood is optimising operations of these solar farms which were built in 2019 and retrofitting these with batteries to provide enhanced returns to investors.
By retrofitting batteries to the assets Birdwood will provide firm and more reliable power to the South Australian market.
